Guilty pleasure

Today, I went for a coffee with my fellow fashionistas to discuss the latest fashion news. During the meeting, one of the girls asked me a questions that I found especially interesting. She asked me, what is my guilty pleasure? Hmm...let me think, I said. After some thinking I came to the conclusion that I have too many guilty pleasures to pick just one, but if I still would need to pick one, I would definitely pick the leather and fur bags. (I have one too many of them, some would say) No matter the size, the colour or the cut of the bag, the most important is that the bag should show your personality and should stand out. A beautiful bag can enhance and transform any outfit, so choose carefully.
And what is your guilty Pleasure?

Democracy in Fashion

What I like about today's fashion industry is that there is a place for every style, colour and cut. You can be preppy, girly, relaxed, bohemian, minimalist, classic, modern, polished, urban, vintage, sporty, earthy, goth, etc. You can choose to follow any style you want and still be fashionable and gorgeous. So, let's celebrate the democracy in Fashion!

                                                                                                                                       xoxo Irina

Fashion puzzle

Mix and match, it's like playing with a puzzle, many different pieces  that at first look don't make a whole together, but if you keep trying to match them you can create something that is beautiful and surprisingly fun. So, try different pieces together  because by trying different combinations you can come up with a great Ensemble.
                                                                                                                               xoxo Irina

Sex and the City

Many years ago I made a life discovery, I saw my first episode of Sex and the City and I fell in love with the style of the four girls and especially of Carrie Bradshaw. Her style is extravagant, fun and definitely risqué. Being a young girl I understood that fashion is like art, you can express yourself through it by creating ensembles of clothes that are unique and beautiful; Carrie is a perfect example of that amazing balance between haute-couture and prêt-à-porter. Today's outfit made me remember her eclectic style and made me shine trough the day.
Happy Monday!

                                                                                                                                              xoxo Irina

Spiritual guide

A few days ago I meet a healer and a spiritual guide, a very interesting woman with multiple wisdom lessons and a rich experience in life. It's amazing how sometimes you can come across very unexpected and interesting people. During the meeting, she told me that it's very bad for the energy chakras to wear black all the time ( yah, I know, everything is connected to fashion even our inner health). Honestly, I'm not a big believer of all that chakras stuff but still promised myself to wear the maximum of colourful clothes because there is an amazing colour palette available in the fashion industry now which is kind of a fashion crime to not try them all; so, the first colours that I ''disguised'' myself in is emerald green and turquoise, perfect Pair!

Happy weekend!
                                                                                                                                       xoxo Irina

Winter wardrobe!

I'm so excited; less than a month until spring! Because there is not much time left to the winter it's my last chance to wear my winter clothing before storing it in the back of my walk-in closet. So, my advice to you:  take advantage of every remaining day of winter and make a statement with your winter Wardrobe.

                                                                                                                                        xoxo Irina

Shoulder Pads

Every woman should invest in at least one, well tailored blazer, because it is a timeless basic piece of wardrobe. Me, I have bought this Zara blazer, which is a man inspired blazer with shoulder pads. What made me buy it, is that the minute I tried it I saw how figure flattering the blazer is and also it didn't need alterations, which is perfect. Besides, the shoulder pads were the selling point for this blazer, because I wanted a classic blazer, easy to wear but definitely not boring. I found my perfect blazer; have You?
                                                                                                                                                xoxo Irina

Ballet

When I was little I took ballet classes. I loved so much the days of practice when my mommy made my hair in a beautiful bun and dressed me in flowy skirt and ballet shoes. I loved everything about the ballet even if I worked very hard to learn different  graceful movements. Since then I developed an eternal love for long asymmetrical flowy skirts and pointy shoes for a romantic and etherial Look.

                                                                                                                                                    xoxo Irina

Kaki's

It's been a long time since kaki's were worn only by the army; nowadays fashion industry kakis are a good example of busines-casual look for pants, trousers or even skirts and are worn by many fashionistas. My kaki skirt is pretty short, (fortunately I'm not in the army) very comfortable and it became my new to go skirt which I'm pretty sure I can pare with anything I want.

Happy Monday!
